TABLES WILL TURN...

So, not to much has been going as of right now in CV. But things have been happening under the radar. As we speak Take Offense's upcoming full length "Tables Will Turn" is being mixed and mastered by Paul Miner. This is a man that just finished up with Terror's "Keepers Of The Faith" album. Dude's worked with bands anywhere from Creatures up in the OC area to New Found Glory. More details on all that will come ASAP.

The MAAC is in the process of being moved. As far as I know they wont be hosting anymore shows down here on Chula, but to wherever they move to. I know it's a bummer seeing as how there's really no other place to play, but I'm hopeful to see another place pop up soon.

Other than that, Take Offense should be playing a couple shows very soon so keep a look out. Peace

TAKE OFFENSE IN STUDIO

Wow, it has been a great weekend. We've been in the studio the last two days recording our upcoming full length titled "Tables Will Turn." It's going to be 10 songs, with 7 new ones and 3 re-recorded. Saturday we went in ready to lay down some drum tracks that Joe kicked out of the way within 5 hours or so. Joe's the man. Bassist Ray MOSHer has been out of town for a little over a week doin his Navy shit so he was unable to learn all the bass lines in time for recording. That said Greg layed down the bass tracks in no fucking time. That would rap it up for Saturday




Sunday, it was time to lay down the rhythm guitar tracks and vocals. We were left with a short day, but I was able to get through 9 of the 10 tracks. It was another smooth and successful day and we should have one more left to go. More updates to come...

DISTURBING THE PEACE

This is a band combined with members of PC Deathsquad and Take Offense. Drummer of PC, Johnny Nevada will be on lead guitar. Guitarist of PC, a CV legend, Anthony Guzman will be on bass. Ill be on the drums while Vince (Vance) Cardova takes vocals. We're in the mix of recording this week so expect a demo at our first show on the 26th in Chula.

6.26.2010 @ the MAAC in CV

BRACEWAR along with FIRE & ICE, coming from Richmond, VA will be coming through CV. Both bands are on tour, doing a couple west coast dates, so make sure to show them love when they stop through. DOWNPRESSER, you know what it is! TAKE OFFENSE of course, should be a new song or two in the set list...This will also be the debut of DISTURBING THE PEACE (New CVHC.) Bring your fucking boxing gloves. They will be opening the show up, and a demo will be available, so make sure to pick that up. It's gonna be a big one, see you wimps there!

New things happening in CVHC...

What's up everyone, I haven't updated the CVHC in a while. Lots of good things are going to be coming up for Chula so look forward to it. CVHC FEST 2010 is in the works and I will post details as they come to me. It will be hosted at the MAAC for a second time with a few more up and coming CV bands.

TIED DOWN. You should know what to expect from this band based on the name alone. Heavy early 80's east coast style influences, what more can you ask for? They don't have any shows lined up as of now but they will be on the CVHC FEST roster so watch out. Check more out for youself...

TAKE OFFENSE. We will be playing a show in fullerton this Saturday which is the 5th with LA's Piece By Piece as well as Downpresser/Minus from Santa Barbara. Check the myspace link for more details on the show.

CVHC BBQ APRIL 18th

April 18th starting around 12-1pm, there will be a CVHC BBQ hosted at Los Ninos Park. There will be burgers and hotdogs available and it would be much appreciated if people pitched in. I would also suggest bring some of your own shit and we'll or you can grill it up. Invite who you want, even if they're not from chula. Come out and have some fun. Also expect Football to be played.
