New things happening in CVHC...

What's up everyone, I haven't updated the CVHC in a while. Lots of good things are going to be coming up for Chula so look forward to it. CVHC FEST 2010 is in the works and I will post details as they come to me. It will be hosted at the MAAC for a second time with a few more up and coming CV bands.

TIED DOWN. You should know what to expect from this band based on the name alone. Heavy early 80's east coast style influences, what more can you ask for? They don't have any shows lined up as of now but they will be on the CVHC FEST roster so watch out. Check more out for youself...

CVHC BBQ APRIL 18th

April 18th starting around 12-1pm, there will be a CVHC BBQ hosted at Los Ninos Park. There will be burgers and hotdogs available and it would be much appreciated if people pitched in. I would also suggest bring some of your own shit and we'll or you can grill it up. Invite who you want, even if they're not from chula. Come out and have some fun. Also expect Football to be played. More details this and next week. Peace

Sex Fiend/Garage show

Che Cafe 2010

Couple of shows going on at the Che Cafe. Both shows are great, make it out! + special guests on the 6th

California Uber Alles Fest 2010 in LA!

A lot of great Cali bands will be on this including CV's TAKE OFFENSE! This will definitely be worth the trek up there, so if you're able to get a ride we'll see you there. Don't wimp out

Show in Chula last night...

Wasn't the greatest turn out for a Saturday night but it was still a good time. I got video of most of it so i'm going to try and post some of it sometime soon. Pictures will also be posted ASAP.

Sex Fiend was great, not a lot of movement but they have a great vibe that everyone can enjoy. Some ugly shit with a lot of energy, cool riffs.

Minus, they're a new band from the SB area. Some hard shit. They got a good reaction for being such a new band in a different city. Sounded next to perfect for being at the maac.

Fed To The Wolves was on after that, also some ugly shit. No movement during their set but everyone seemed to enjoy it, they know what they're doing. Sounded good.

Stopping Power played a quick unannounced set, was real quick but cool.

Next was Impulse. Great set, everything sounded really good. No movement but they had all of their songs down so good it was just as fun and entertaining to watch, kept me wanting more. I gotta say that I wished they still played a couple old songs. Great shit.

I had a fucking blast playing the old Down Again demo. Brian was back on bass, it was DA circa '06. Definitely had a great time.

CVHC

January 30th in Chula Vista!

DOWN AGAIN, coming outta the shadows for now. It's our first show in 2010 so make it out to this! MINUS, coming outta Santa Barbara, some real hard shit with members from Violation and Downpresser. Prepare yourself. IMPULSE, if you haven't already picked up the demo then you know what to do at this show. FED TO THE WOLVES, some harsh stuff. Haven't seen them live, so i'm glad to have them on the show. DISTURBING THE PEACE, with members from PC Deathsquad and Take Offense this is mostly a CV band, see you there!
